Monroe
Introduction
This project, currently known as "Monroe", is the current novel that I'm writing. It's a fantasy revisionist western, which then transitions into a wider "travelogue" style of plot, with the main characters going on an epic quest to save the world. Monroe is the first book in a trilogy, though whether that trilogy will be written is subject to whether or not Monroe itself ever gets picked up by publishers. Though I'd like to be optimistic about whether or not I'm going to get published, the reality is that it's hard to tell, usually leaning towards not as likely as one would hope. But one can dream.
The book has a heavy focus on action, construction and execution of plans, and "mind-games" between the main characters, like many heist stories before it. Monroe contains a high fantasy setting, but one which is treated as low fantasy by the characters, who don't see the magic the same way that we would percieve it as magic from our perspective.
